Fabian Faylona is a Filipino-German artist and designer based in Berlin, working in the
field of spatial practice. During his bachelor's degree in Industrial Design he specialized in
activating local living environments through participatory formats, such as the collective
construction of public spaces. After his graduation in 2019, he took time to visit off-grid and
permacultural land projects to gain a deeper understanding of holistic thinking within living
ecosystems. Since then, his theoretical research explores entanglements of decolonial
and ecological discourses. In his artistic practice, he engages with local materialities,
topographies, and mythologies in search of new perspectives on interspecies cohabitation.
