Project
What is this?
Buzzing, growling, roaring, cawing, groaning, snoring, crying, yelling, hissing – the Bichos Electrónicos (Electronic Beatles) workshop is aimed at a young audience where they can give free rein to their imagination. The objective of the workshop is the creation of small machines that produce various sounds and whose volume intensity increases according to the light that falls on the object. During the workshop, students participate in a public presentation, participants can experiment and present their creations.
At the end, the creatures will be released into the nearby streets of Quebrantões to observe how they communicate with each other and with visitors.
By building these objects entirely by hand, participants discover the elementary rules of circuits and electronic components, without the need for soldering. The beatle creatures react to light, so their ideal habitat condition is low light, in a dark environment or even at night, possibly in a shaded space where the concept of their movements can be explored, from natural elements such as trees or small shrubs.
