Karin is a multidisciplinary designer who specialises in the design of (photography) books, spatial interventions and multifaceted campaigns. Together with her partner Peter Zuiderwijk she founded Collective Works in 2009. This The Hague-based collaborative work-structure specialises in research-based design. Collective Works has been a part of the Constructlab network since 2014. Karin's design practice gives equal weight to various aspects of multidisciplinary design, from the process of observation and analysis to its final form of execution. From 2008 on she has been teaching design at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam (NL) and from 2013 on she has been teaching Spatial Design at Artez, Arnhem (NL). From 2007 till 2013 she taught Graphic Design at the Designacademy, Eindhoven (NL).
