Lucas Devolder creates in a multitude of roles; from expedition leader to builder to flying plumber. His fascination for design, technology, movement and hacking has driven him to playfully and directly interact with his environment since childhood. He (re-)discovered the potential of the open-minded outlook children have. That outlook can help us “big people” tackle complex problems. Since then, he has been exploring the margins and trying to generate play to make room for that open-mindedness. For Lucas, the essence of architecture is to create space for people to do what makes them happy.
