Miranda Rigby is an Architectural Designer who studied in Edinburgh before moving to Berlin in 2018 to complete her masters at the TU. After graduating she stayed in the city and began working with ConstructLab. Through her work she focuses on how we can improve the spaces we inhabit through community engagement and activation of open space. Her work has a process-oriented approach that aims to facilitate new interactions within communities as well as providing a platform for the sharing of skills. She believes that through empowering people to shape the spaces around them and engage with their neighbourhood, they can reclaim autonomy over their built environment and shape their own surroundings rather than relying on others. Her work also experiments with natural building materials and explores how they can be used more in mainstream projects.
